Start young
Early math training trains the brain of young children and make them good at problem solving. Study shows that a child in kindergarten who is better at math than reading skills is likely to do better later in school.
Use math daily
Help the child to relate math to everyday activities. Such as teaching the child to save up his daily allowance until he has enough to buy the toy he wanted.
Make learning fun
Children hate math because they know it is something that requires work. It becomes easier if they have fun learning it. They learn faster that way too!
